November 2025

📍 Improving - Houston, Texas

About this meeting

Our last meetup of 2025 brought together a great mix of returning members and new faces at the Improving Houston office. The energy was high as creators shared updates on their side projects and connected with others working toward similar goals.

Founder Gurjinder Toor showcased his project, Torbotic - a company that designs affordable, modular robotics that gives learners the freedom to adapt, expand, and create endlessly from what they learn.

Key takeaways from his talk included:

  • The importance of affordability and modularity in lowering the barrier to learning robotics
  • How Torbotic’s components are designed to be expanded and reconfigured, encouraging creativity and problem-solving
  • The value of hands-on learning to spark curiosity and long-term engagement in STEM fields

The audience enjoyed seeing real prototypes and hearing about Gurjinder’s journey building Torbotic from concept to functioning product.
