September 2025

📍 Improving - Houston, Texas

About this meeting

Our September meetup brought together a strong group of builders ready to level up their side projects. Members exchanged updates, met new faces, and connected over shared goals while settling in for one of our most interactive talks yet.

Our guest speaker, Daniel Scheufler, author and consultant, delivered an engaging, high-energy session on how to turn your ideas and expertise into polished, valuable knowledge products. Drawing from real-world experience, his presentation mixed storytelling, practical tips, and audience participation.

Key insights from his talk included:

  • Little and Often Makes Much: The core principle is to break down large projects into small, consistent tasks to achieve substantial results over time.
  • Overcome Perfectionism: Avoid aiming for perfection in the initial stages. The goal is to simply get a working version or “notes” published, as the product is treated as a living entity that can be refined later.
  • Validate Ideas Early and Cheaply: Use small, inexpensive experiments, such as a blog post or a talk, to quickly test if an idea resonates with others and gather feedback before investing significant time.
  • Focus on Reputation Building: While financial metrics are difficult to measure early on, creating and sharing products helps build reputation and credibility, which has significant value, especially for consultants.
  • Systematize Creation: Develop a system for creation, from capturing initial ideas and building them into paragraphs to using blog posts as “testing events” and eventually compiling them into talks or books.

Daniel’s interactive approach made the session stand out, and the community walked away with clear next steps and renewed confidence in sharing their knowledge. 🚀
